Interkultivator is a research-creation, art collective that focuses on the decentralization of cultural production in Serbia, through investigating the impact of new technologies on society and gender structures. We strive to create emancipatory tools and platforms for alternative and non-dominant communities. Interkultivator's main focus of activities is exploring the impact of technology on society and society on technology by bridging various disciplines in order to find a common language and toolset for using and enhancing the role of technologies today. The collective's main approach is that of walking on disciiplinary margins, developing new models of collaboration, production and presentation. It has worked closely with many different sectors, individuals and organizations / companies / institutes, creating a combination of a technical hands-on approach, artistic experimentation and decentralization of knowledge production. Interkultivator made the first digital platform and archive of digitally born cultural content in the region of South East Europe and has developed mentoring programs to help and network young professionals from various fields to create new projects and collaborations between fields.
